New things to do in Fort Wayne, IN
The Fort Wayne Zoo is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the opening of Coastal Cove, featuring a variety of seals and sea lions. The zoo is adding new events to the annual lineup that include the Glo Wild Lantern festival in the spring. The Science Central Planetarium is opening early in 2025 and it will be the only public planetarium in the region. You can see a simulation of the cosmos that uses a digital projection system and the classic Spitz starball projector.
The Pearl Street Arts Center is the newest focus for the Fort Wayne arts community. It was previously an industrial bakery and now features a Music Academy, a performance auditorium and fully-accessible education classrooms. Next door at The Pearl, new restaurants are now open including Crescendo, Amore, and Ducky's Duckpin Bowling, adding even more to this thriving downtown development. The Fairfield provides a three-story social entertainment venue for downtown Fort Wayne. The Fairfield has a taproom and restaurant, indoor bocce ball, duckpin bowling, and an indoor golf lounge.
